Dhenkanal: An Anganwadi worker was allegedly abducted and gangraped by 3 miscreants near Kaluria village under Gondia police limits in the district on Monday night.
Based on the FIR filed by the victim, the Gondia police immediately started search operation in the area and arrested all three accused late last night.
According to the FIR, the incident took place when the victim was returning to her village from Joronda. Finding her alone near Kaluria, the accused abducted the Anganwadi worker, took her to a nearby farmhouse and gangraped her, she said in her statement.
The police have lodged a case of gangrape under sections of the Indian Penal Code and started investigation the matter.
