Anganwadi Centers In Odisha To Reopen From March 28, 2022

Bhubaneswar: The Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) across Odisha are all set to open soon. The Odisha government on Wednesday announced to reopen these Centers from March 28, 2022.

It is noteworthy that, due to the Covid pandemic, the AWCs all over the state were closed since April 2021.

The Women and Child Development Department (WCD) of the Odisha government on Wednesday wrote a letter to all the Collectors to take necessary steps for implementing the SOP for reopening the Anganwadis.

The Anganwadis will remain open from 7.30 am to 9.30 am 25 days a month. Morning Snacks and HCMs will be served to the preschoolers (3-6 years) in such a way that the sitting arrangement ensures a social distance amongst children.

A detailed SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) has also been released regarding Covid protocols and appropriate behaviour.
