Guntur: Putting the disappointment of their failure in the recently concluded 22nd Asian Athletic Meet in Kalinga Stadiume behind, Odisha’s ace sprinters Amiya Mallick, Srabani Nanda on Sunday came out with flying colours wining gold in the 200 meters events at the 57th National Inter0State Senior Athletics Championships being held here.
While Mallick struck gold clocking 21.65 seconds, Nanda pocketed the medal completing the women’s 200 meters race in 24.18 seconds.
Till now, the Odia athletes have got three medals in the championship.
Earlier on Saturday, Jauna Murmu had made the state proud by winning a silver medal in the 400 metres hurdles. She bagged the medal with a timing of 58.68 seconds.
