Amit Shah visits Srimandir, offers prayer

Puri: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha paid a visit to Sri Jagannath Temple here today and performed ‘darshan’ of the deities.

Earlier in the morning Shah reached Puri by road accompanied by Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and was welcomed and received by Collector Balwant Singh and Superintendent of Police Uma Sankar Dash.

BJP leaders namely, Union MSME Minister Pratap Sarangi, Union Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel and BJP’s Odisha in-charge Arun Singh also welcomed Shah and accompanied him to Srimandir.

Shah is also scheduled to visit Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar later in the day today before embarking upon his journey to Delhi.

He addressed the Eastern Zonal Council meeting and addressed a pro-CAA at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar yesterday.
