Amicus Curiae Ranjit Kumar visits Srimandir, holds meeting with temple management committee

Puri: Supreme Court-appointed Amicus Curiae Ranjit Kumar today paid a visit to Srimandir here this morning and expressed his satisfaction over the prevailing darshan system at the temple.

Kumar, who had also worked as the former Solicitor General was welcomed at the Singha Dwara (Lion’s Gate) of the temple upon his arrival by servitors and led to the Sanctum Sanctorum to offer puja to the Holy Trinity. Soon after darshan, Kumar had a brief discussion with staffs at the temple office.

Later, the Amicus Curiae went on a visit to the Bhitara Bedha (inner circle), Rosha Sala (temple kitchen) and Natamandap.

As per the final report, he was holding a meeting with temple management committee, which was being chaired by Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb, SP and SJTA Chief to discuss on the implementation of reforms suggested by Supreme Court for the 12th-century shrine.
