Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested two persons in connection to the brutal murder of Amaresh Nayak in Sunderpada area under Airfield Police limits here in Odisha on Diwali night.
The arrested persons have been identified as Raghab and Jagadish. They were arrested from the outskirts of the city, five days after the incident.
Amaresh and his friends were bursting crackers on the fateful night when a group of people arrived at the spot and tried to prevent them from doing so. The discussion turned into a heated argument.
Soon after, the group attacked Amaresh with sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured.
Amaresh was rushed to a hospital, where the doctor declared him “brought dead”.
