Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government increased one month’s extra pay and other allowances of personnel working in the Fire Services department on Thursday.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the incentives and allowances in favour of Fire Service personnel in the rank of Fireman, Fireman Driver, Leading Fireman, Driver havildar and havildar mechanic have been revised.
One month’s extra pay of the fire service personnel has been renamed as Extra Duty Incentive and revised the same as One month’s basic pay including grade pay, said the notification.
The notification further said that bicycle allowance has been renamed as mobility allowance and the same has been enhanced from existing Rs 75 to Rs 150 per month.
This apart, the state government also enhanced the special diet allowance from Rs 700 to Rs 900 per month.
