All sea beaches in Ganjam to remain closed from today, Check details

Ganjam: All the sea beaches in Ganjam of Odisha will remain closed from today, informed District Administration.

Reportedly, the sea beaches including Gopalpur, Sonapur and other major water bodies will remain closed till January 17, 2022.

The District Administration took this decision in order to avoid large gatherings during upcoming festivals and to ensure COVID-19 protocol.

It is to be noted that Ganjam reported 106 new Covid positive cases on Wednesday. There are 447 active cases in the district as of now.

The Ganjam collector has asked the people through Twitter handle to maintain ‘SMS- Sanitizer, Mask & Social Distancing’ and has also said ” let’s get vaccinated to keep ourselves and our family safe and healthy.”

In order to avoid large gatherings during upcoming festivals and to ensure COVID-19 protocol, all sea beaches in Ganjam such as Gopalpur, Sonapur, etc. & other major water bodies shall remain closed for public from 13th to 17th Jan’22. @CMO_Odisha @SRC_Odisha @IPR_Odisha
