Berhampur: The Ganjam District administration has decided to shut down all religious institutions and public places.
An official order was passed in this regard by the administration, the order stated that, “Keeping in view of the gravity of the resurgence due to Covid-19 pandemic and as preventive measures in the interest of the general health of public and preventing spread of infection, the district administration has ordered that all religious institutions of Ganjam district are closed for public for next seven days (from 14.04.2021 to 21.04.2021)”
Sanitization will be done in all the public places and temples durin the closure. The temple rituals shall be followed as usual by the priests sans devotees.
