All Covid Care Centres to close in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: All the Covid Care Centres (CCC) in Bhubaneswar will be closed from February 28, 2022, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday.

Reportedly, the decision has been taken in view of the drop in Covid caseload across Odisha, said BMC Deputy Commissioner Suvendu Kumar Sahoo.

The Hi-Tech Covid hospital, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Covid hospital will be closed due to the improvement in covid caseload, BMC has issued a notice to both the hospitals.

The number of beds will be reduced and limited to 70 and 30 in SUM hospital and Aditya Ashiwni Hospital respectively added BMC Deputy Commissioner.

It is to be noted that Odisha reported 345 fresh cases of Covid including 111 in the 0-18 years, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Friday. The positive tally stands at 12,84,323. Among the 345 positives, 202 patients are in quarantine, and 143 are the local contacts. There are as many as 3375 active cases in Odisha.
