Akshay Trutiya gift: Odisha CM releases financial assistance to 40 lakh farmers under KALIA scheme

Bhubaneswar:  Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik released financial assistance to farmers under the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on Tuesday.

As per reports, besides farmers of Jharsuguda district, KALIA beneficiaries of all other districts were given the financial assistance today.

The CM disbursed financial assistance of Rs 800 crore to more than 40 lakh small and marginal farmers. Am amount of Rs 2000 was transferred to the bank account of each of the farmers.

The CM thanked the farmers of Odisha for their important contribution towards food security of the nation through video conferencing. On this occasion 8 new programs to be started for agricultural development.

On this occasion the Panas Mission started and REWARD (Rejuvenating Watershed for Agricultural Resilience through Innovative Development) program started.

On this occasion the CM dedicated to the people the new ‘Krushaka Odisha’ Portal.
