After KBN gang, Another Sandha Gang of Cuttack under police scanner

Cuttack: After Bhubaneswar’s notorious Koi Bhai Nahin (KBN) gang, yet another gang, named as Sandha Group, of Cuttack has come under the scanner of Commissionerate Police.

Reportedly, the mastermind of this group appears to be in police custody. As of now, 10 videos have surfaced over the social media till now in which several youths were seen creating videos with guns and many were seen threatening using filthy language.

However, it is yet to be ascertained that to whom the Sandha Group was abusing and threatening.

The Cuttack Commissionerate of Police has launched an investigation overnight on Wednesday night and have been conducting raids at various suspected places following the release of the videos of Sandha Group on Instagram.

From the preliminary investigation, it learnt that the 10 videos uploaded on Instagram have been shot near a half constructed building, near a river at Jobra, near the Taladanda canal. The police team has already initiated a manhunt to trace and apprehend the person who uploaded these videos on Instagram.

It is pertinent to mention that, the KBN gang or also known as Rakta Charitra gang in Bhubaneswar is strictly under the police scanner since a week. The citizens are fearful of stepping out of their home during night. This gang wanders around the city with guns and sharped weapons in expensive cars. Few videos have also surfaced where the members of this gang were seen dancing in the middle of road in inebriated state. A video also showed the members of the gang partying on a vehicle by parking it on the middle of a National Highway.

They have been shooting their videos at various parts of the capital and sharing them as Instagram reels.

The Commissionerate of Police has set up a special team to arrest all the members of this gang. The investigation is carried out on the basis of the viral videos, informed Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash.

So far the police have arrested seven members of the criminal gang and have geared up to apprehend all the 29 members of the gang after registering cases against them.
