After Bhubaneswar, human skeleton now found in Koraput forest

Jeypore: A human skeleton was reportedly found in a cashew forest near Ektaguda area under Koraput Sadar police limits on Sunday.

A team of Koraput Sadar police along with a scientific team rushed to the spot after getting information from some locals who noticed it first.

Apart from seizing the head and hands of the human skeleton, cops also recovered a blood-stained red ‘gamuchha’ from the spot. They made videos of the human skeleton and collected samples.

Koraput SDPO said that the collected samples would be sent to Bhubaneswar-based laboratory for scientific examination and details about the human skeleton would be known only after the completion of the probe.

Though the identity of the head and hands of the human skeleton is yet to be identified, it is suspected that a person was killed by some miscreants, who torched the body in the forest with an aim to destroy evidence.

It is to be noted here that a total of 15 human skulls and several skeletons were found below the Kalarahanga Injana bridge under the Mancheswar police station in Bhubaneswar on March 23.
