African Lioness Of Nandankanan Zoo In Odisha Dies

Bhubaneswar: An African lioness has died in Nanadankanan Zoo in Baranga area situated in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.

The lioness had been kept in enclosure Number 30 (B) of the zoo.

The lioness allegedly died due to a snakebite (Krait)said primary reports.

The postmortem on the body has been done and the cause of the death has been ascertained as a snakebite confirmed zoo sources.

After the death of this lioness, the number of lions in the zoo stands at 17, said reports.

The African Lioness ganga was aged about 15 years. She had come from Israel in 2015.
