Bhubaneswar: Young and dedicated actors, actresses, models, social workers and journalists were felicitated on Friday in an event organised as a low key affair at the old bus stand premises in Unit 2 of Bhubaneswar in Odisha. The event had been organised on the concluding day of the observation of the 146th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Birsa Munda and 55th National Press Day. The event was organised abiding all restrictions of Covid 19 put in force.
On this occasion columnist and social worker Pradyumna Satpathy graced the event and narrated about the heroic tale of freedome fighter Birsa Munda.
Actor, Director and poet Deba Patra recited poems on this occasion. Among others social activist Biswaranjan Mohanty, fashion designer Sucharita Mohanty, entrepreneur Gadadhar Das, social worker Samita Moharana, renowned creative head of Odia film industry Pranay Jethy graced the occasion as guests.
Journalists Taraka Mohanty, Khetrabasi Naik, Madhuri Mohanty, Ollywood actress Puja Rao, Model Meher Mohanty and social worker Dilip Munda were felicitated on this occasion. The award distribution was followed by dance by choreographer Priyanshu and Chandni.
Hosted jointly by Redhakhol Birsa Munda Committee and Denim & Blues, Bhubaneswar the welcome address was by Priyanshu Priyadev and the event was conducted by Satya Panigrahi.
