Puri: Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty visited the Jagannath Temple at Puri on Thursday to seek blessings of the holy trinity.
Chakraborty, popularly known as Mithun Da, had an early morning darshan of Lord Jagannath at the 12th-century temple. Accompanied by his family priest Ramakrushna Das Mahapatra, he also visited the Bimala, Laxmi, Saraswati and Madhaba temples adjoining the Srimandir.
The actor also paid his respects at the shrines of Nila Madhab, Bimala Devi, goddesses Saraswati and Lakshmi and also visited the Ananda Bazaar
The priests at Srimandir informed that the actor is visiting the temple after his ‘manokamana’ or ‘desire’ was fulfilled.
After his temple visit, Mithun Da will be organising a Brahman Bhojan this afternoon.
