Achyuta Samanta Welcomes CM’s Initiative on Bi-monthly progress report

Bhubaneswar: Kandhamal MP and BJD Parliamentary Party Chief Whip Dr. Achyuta Samanta has welcomed BJD Supremo cum Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s initiative on party MPs to submit Bi-Monthly Progress Report.

On Sunday CM Naveen Patnaik directed his party MPs to submit a report card, by the 10th day of every month starting from August 2019.

In his reaction, Dr. Samanta said that the Chief Minister is putting his best effort for the development of Odisha as well as for its people. He wants, the promises that he had made in the election manifesto should be fulfilled as early as possible.

The CM advised all the Ministers of his cabinet, party MPs, MLAs, and officers to take initiative in this regard. He also advised the party MPs to raise the issues and problems in the Parliament in the interest of Odisha and its people as the Biju Janata Dal is committed to the interest of the people of Odisha. Accordingly, Dr. Samanta has welcomed the noble initiative of the CM.

In my opinion, all BJD party MPs, MLAs, and ministers should work in this regard. We are aware of the problems of our parliamentary constituencies as well as the issues related to the interest of people of Odisha. We should be cautious about the issues we raise in the Parliament. Being the Parliamentary party Chief Whip I will try my best to ensure that, all other party MPs would raise the issues related to Odisha, Dr. Samanta added.
