Bhubaneswar: Eminent educationist and founder of KIIT & KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta was on Thursday conferred with yet another honorary doctorate from Taiwan based university.
National Chin-Yi University of Technology (NCUT), Taiwan, conferred an honorary doctorate degree to Dr. Samanta for his outstanding contribution in the field of education and social service.
NCUT president Prof Wen-Yuan Chen presented the honorary degree in Engineering to Dr Samanta at the special convocation ceremony held at the university.
After receiving the prestigious degree, Dr. Samanta extended his gratitude to NCUT president Prof Chen for recognizing his relentless social service for the last thirty years. “It is based on the motto of selfless service,” he tweeted.

54-year-old Samanta, who is also a Lok Sabha MP from Kandhamal Parliamentary constituency, has so far been conferred with honorary doctorate degree from more than 40 universities in India and outside.
Last year, Taiwan based Nanhua University conferred an honorary doctorate degree to Dr. Samanta.
Founded in 1971, National Chin-Yi University of Technology is a public university located in Taiping District, Taichung, Taiwan.
