‘Ache Din’ will come only when oil price touches Rs 120: BJD

Bhubaneswar: Coming down heavily on the Union government, BJD General Secretary Sanjay Das Burma on Monday said that it seems the ‘Ache Din’ will come in the country only when the oil (petrol and diesel) price touches Rs 120 per litre.

Das Burma’s reaction came after BJP national president Amit Shah targeted Odisha government over several issues while addressing the ‘Mahila Samawesh- Mahila Shakti Kendra Sammelan’ in Puri. He had said that the BJD has lost all the rights to rule in Odisha.

In his counter attack in a press meet, the BJD General Secretary said, “Amit Shah is speaking about winning 120 seats in Odisha, but it seems the ‘Ache Din’ will come only when the oil price touches Rs 120.”

“The UJALA scheme is the biggest scam of the country,” he added.

BJD spokesperson Arun Sahoo, who was also present in the press conference, said, “BJP national president Amit Shah’s allegations are baseless and misleading. The centre’s MAMTA scheme has been adopted from Odisha.”

“Amit Shah must explain who has links with criminals and gangsters including in Tito and D-Brothers in Odisha and who was behind the murder during the Bijepur by-election. In fact the country is experiencing anundeclared emergency situation,” Sahoo added.
