Abhijit Iyer Mitra now calls Odias as ‘purchased presstitutes’, ‘paid outragers’
Bhubaneswar: Former Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda’s close friend and journalist Abhijit Iyer Mitra has made fresh derogatory remarks on the people of Odisha by calling them ‘purchased presstitutes’ and ‘paid outragers.’
After making controversial remarks of the Sun Temple in Konark, Iyer in his twitter handle termed people in Odisha as ‘purchased presstitutes’ and ‘paid outragers’. Besides, he questioned the English knowledge of Odia people.
Dear Purchased presstitutes & paid “outragers” in Odisha! I don’t mind you burning my effigies, but at least use some nice saucy pics of me please. Unlike your pathetic English or your retard level cognitive abilities, my aesthetic sensibilities are quite refined pic.twitter.com/arZJczTq2d

Earlier on September 16, he had said, “Odisha was discovered by Bengali explorers, who called it “OriShala!!! And it was named Orissa”.
He also raised question over the famous Puri Jagannath temple. He wrote that Jagannath temple was built by the Gangas, who were disgraced Pallava Tamil retainers. “…no such thing as Orissa, just the wild southern provinces of undivided Bengal,” Mitra had tweeted.
This apart, the scribe, had posted a video on his twitter handle making derogatory remarks on the Sun Temple in Konark while being present at the spot.
“Namaste Bhaiyo aur Beheno. Mein Odisha ka masur konark temple mein hun. Main bus yehi bolna chahta hun yeh temple nehi hain. Yeh humple hein. Yahan log hump kar rahe hein. Aap dekhiye yahan sab murtiyan hein. Aurate upar kiye ja rahe hein. Mard aur janwar keye ja rahe hein. Yeh kya koi pabitra sthan ho sakta hai? Kathai nehi. Yeh hamari Hindu samuday ki against me kiya gaya hai. Yeh Musalman ki sazish hai jo humko dabake rakhna chahta hein. Aur mein bus yehi bolna chahta hun ki Jai Shree Ram. Hamare naya Ram Mandir mein aisi aslil statue nehi ho payega” (Greetings brothers and sisters. I am at the famous Konark temple of Odisha. All I want to say that it is not a temple. It is a humple (a slang meaning sex). Here people are seen having sex. You see all these statues where the women, men and the animals are having sex. Can this temple be an auspicious place? Never. These statues are against the tradition of the Hindu community. It is the conspiracy of the Muslims who want to denigrate us. All I want to say is Jai Shree Ram. At least such statues will not be found in our new Ram temple),” he had said.
