Balasore: In yet another case of child abandonment in the State, a newborn girl was found dumped outside the residence of a local in Salabani village under Mahishpata panchayat in Balasore district last night.
As per the report, one Arati Singh of the village spotted the baby girl crying in front of her house entrance after opening the door late in the night. She swung into action immediately and rescued the baby.
Some villagers called up Child Line official to convey the matter later in the night but as that went unanswered they rushed the baby to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in an ambulance.
The health condition of the child is said to be stable now.
