9 Coaches Of Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Exp derail

Mumbai: The engine and nine coaches of the Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express derailed on Tuesday morning near Asangaon in Maharashtra. According to railway officials, there have been no casualties so far.

The Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani confirmed that no passengers were injured in the derailment. He added that buses have been arranged to take the staranded passengers to Mumbai.

Central Railways Chief PRO Anil Saxena said that a sudden landslide caused the derailment. Rescue staffs have already been sent to the spot.

Four trains have been diverted due to the derailment via Kalyan-Lonavala-Pune-Daund-Manmad.  This is the third derailment in the country in a period of 10 days.
