Koraput: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has seized a huge cache of cannabis at Pitaguda under Nandapur police limits of Koraput district and arrested five persons in this connection.
The five accused persons have been identified as Dharmjit Sharma alias Chacha, Rajnish Sharma, Kanhaiya Singh alias Chaudhury from Uttar Pradesh and two locals Madhusudan Golari and Ugra Pujari.
On basis of reliable information, the Special Task Force of Odisha Crime Branch intercepted a vehicle and seized approximately 850 kgs of ganja in a tanker fitted with tractor at Pitaguda Nandapur Police limits
The STF seized one tractor with tanker, cash worth 17,000 and other materials were seized from their possession.
Later, a case has been registered at Nandapur police station and police have started probe into the matter.
