8 places record temperature above 41 degree Celsius in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as eight places of the state recorded temperature above 41 degree Celsius in Odisha on Sunday.

As per the bulletin of the city-based regional Meteorological department, Titlagarh, with 43.5 degree Celsius, recorded the highest temperature of the day. This was followed by Angul (42.7), Balangir (42.5), Talcher (42.3), Jharsuguda (41.8), Sonepur (41.4), Sambalpur (41.1) and Bhawanipatna (41.0).

Similarly, temperature crossed 40 degree Celsius in three places of the state including the state Capital city.  While Hirakud witnessed a temperature of 40.9 degree Celsius, the mercury climbed to 40.6 degree Celsius and 40.2 degree Celsius in Malkangiri and Bhubaneswar respectively.

Likewise, the day temperature hovered at 39.5 degree Celsius in Sundergarh, 39.4 degree Celsius in Cuttack, 39.2 degree Celsius in Chandbali and 39.0 degree Celsius Keonjhar.
