Between the Corona crisis and the festive season, the Modi government has given a big deal to the central pensioners. The government has started door step service from Thursday for Posters’ Digital Life Certificate (DLAC) through Postman. That is, now pensioners will be able to submit the life certificate through the postman. This decision of the government will benefit millions of pensioners.

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has introduced this new facility. The Ministry has informed in a press release that ‘India Post Payments Bank of Department of Posts and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (India) has initiated the initiative of Department of Pensions and Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW). Now postmen will help pensioners to submit online life certificates at their doorstep. Pensioners will also have to pay to avail this service.

According to the ministry, the submission of online life certificate through ‘Jeevan Pramaan Portal’ was started in 2014 itself, but now all postmen, Gramin Dak Sevaks and India Post are able to submit life certificates online easily. The help of the payment bank network is being taken. There is no need to go to the bank branch or stand in line outside the branch.

Explain that due to the Corona crisis, central employees and pensioners have been disappointed this year on dearness allowance (DA). The government is paying DA at the old rate itself, while the benefit was to be given under the new rate. However, only after June 2021, the government can take a decision.
