The Modi government has given a big gift to the central employees amid Corona crisis. The government has extended the Leave Travel Allowance (LTA) facility of personnel for two years for travel to Northeast, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir. Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh has shared this information.

According to Singh, employees will be paid travel allowance for LTC along with paid holidays. One can also visit these places from private airlines. Economy class tickets for air travel can be booked.

Union Minister of State for Personnel further stated that ‘Air travel facility will be available for non-eligible government employees. All these facilities have been extended till September 25, 2022 i.e. employees can travel to Northeast, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir for holiday. ‘

Let us know that LTA is offered by the government to central employees. Under this, if employees and officers go somewhere, then they get the convenience of travel allowance claim. Employees can go for a walk with their family or alone.

Due to the Corona crisis, the Central Employees and Pensioners are being directly hit by the Dearness Allowance (DA) deduction. The government had decided in April this year that the dearness allowance of employees and pensioners would not increase from January 2020 to June 2021. In such a situation, this decision of the government for the government employees on LTA is a relief.
