Bhubaneswar: In good news for the 3.5 lakh retired state government employees, the state government on Tuesday decided to give them the revised pension as per 7th Pay Commission recommendations from this October.
Finance Secretary T.K.Pandey, who chaired a high-level meeting at the state secretariat this morning, informed that the 3.5 lakh retired government employees of the state will get their revised pension after 7th Pay panel came into force with effect from this October.
Bankers and treasury officers attended the meeting which finalised the modalities for disbursement of the revised pension.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced on August 29 the much-awaited implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations with effect from September 1, 2017.
About 4.5 lakh serving state government employees will be benefited by the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
