Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has reportedly busted a looters’ gang and arrested a total of seven members of the team on Monday.
According to police, the looters’ gang used to target the people who used to travel alone at night. The team also had looted the Journalist of Kalinga TV last month.
Out of the 7 members of the gang, 4 are looters, one receiver, another one a mobile phone technician, and another was an OYO Hotel Manager.
Cops also seized 21 mobile phones, a gold ring, a sword with blood stain and some cash from their possessions.
As many as 18 cases are pending against this looter gang at different police stations of the Commissionerate Police.
Police also have started search operations at different places to arrest other members of the gang who are on the run.
