Balangir: As many as seven girl students of Bapuji High School at Sunamudi village under Patnagarh block of Balangir district were hospitalised after a teacher asked them to do sit-ups in Balangir.
The teacher has been identified as Bikash Dharua.
Reportedly, girl students arrived late at the prayer session of the school today due to which Dharua punished them and asked them to do 100 sit-ups.
Following this, seven students lost their consciousness and were unwell.
Thereafter, the school authorities immediately rushed them in an ambulance to Patnagarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. The condition of one among them was stated to be critical, added reports.
