6 Sloth Bears Spotted Roaming Around Odisha Village, Locals In Panic

Koraput: The residents of Ladijodi village under Borigumma block in Koraput district are in a state of panic for the last several days after six sloth bears were spotted roaming around the village.

As per reports, the locals of the area cannot step out of their house after the evening due to fear of bear attacks and they said the wild animals are heading towards the human habitats in searching of food.

The bears come out after sunset and roam around till late at night before leaving for forest in the morning due to which the villagers are in a state of fear. They are scared of venturing outside their homes in the evening. They rather prefer to stay in the locked door to be safe.

The locals alleged that one woman was attacked by a bear. They also demand the forest officials to take action and disperse the wild animals from the area.
