Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar branch of the Indian Meteorological Department issued thunderstorm and lightning warning for six districts of Odisha till 8.15 PM today.
The regional MeT office issued the alert for Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Deogarh and Keonjhar districts.
People of these districts have been advised to take shelter in safe places and avoid going out till 8.15 PM as hail and gusty surface wind reaching up to a speed of 50 to 60 kmph will occur along with the thunderstorm and lightning.
