Balasore: In a major success to Dhamra Marine Police, it succeeded in saving the lives of all six fishermen who had gone missing during a boat capsize near Wheeler Island here on Tuesday.
While police had managed to rescue at least four of the victims within hours of the mishap it found out two others later in the day.
The capsize took place this morning after a group of fishermen from Kashafala village set out their journey into the Bay of Bengal boarding a fishing boat. The boat sank in the deep sea under the impact of a strong current during fishing activity.
Dhamra Marine Police swung into action following the mishap without any delay.
While the conditions of the victims are out of danger they have been put under observation after rescue, said police.
