6 Arrested For Drugging And Looting Travellers In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Police Commissionerate on Saturday arrested six members of a gang who used to drug and then loot the passengers travelling in trains and buses in the twin city.

According to reports, the gang includes two owners of a medicine store in Bhubaneswar who used to sell ativan tablet to the accused people. and others add it with the food and provide them to the people travelling in trains and buses following which the travellers/passengers faint. Then they take them to an abandoned place and loot all their valuable items.

Based on a tip off, the Commisionerate police arrested the gang and seized 40 grams of gold jewellery, mobile, bike along with the sedative tablets.

The public should not get involved in any type conversation with strangers, said Twin City Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi in a press meet.
