5T Secy VK Pandian Visits Lingaraj Temple To Review Development Works

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister’s Transformation and Initiatives (5T) Secretary VK Pandian visited the Lingaraj Temple to review the developmental works around the temple in Old Town area here on Wednesday.

Sources said, Pandian arrived at the temple premises at around 4.30 AM. He was accompanied by Works secretary Krishan Kumar, Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Sahu and Khurda ADM Manoranjan Mallick.

After having darshan of Lord Siva, Pandian reviewed the ongoing development works.

Recently, the Naveen government had announced a package of Rs 8.5 crore for beautification of the temple and its periphery.

Under the project, an old market complex near the temple was demolished by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) last month.

Notbaly, Pandian has been visiting hospitals, police stations and other government offices to take stock of the services and asses the facilities in the government-run institutions.
