Balangir/Sonepur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Private Secretary and Secretary, Transformation and Initiatives (5Ts) VK Pandian today paid an officials visit to Balangir and Subarnapur districts to take stock of the available medical facilities.
Pandian, who was accompanied by Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy and National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Director Shalini Pandit reviewed the healthcare facility at the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital. He also had an interaction with the patients and relatives of patients admitted to the hospital to enquire about the facilities and behaviour of staff.

After winding up their schedule in Balangir the Chief Secretary and the 5Ts Secretary moved to the District Headquarters Hospital at Sonepur. There, they talked to the CDMO and doctors over the health facilities available there. They also talked to the patients to know about the facilities.
The team also made a surprise visit to the Aahar Kendra and had their lunch. The officials there interacted with the people about the food quality, service as well as cleanliness.
