Bheden: In a sad incident a five-year-old girl and her mother died while her father sustained minor injury on Thursday as the vehicle on which they were travelling met an accident on the Burda Bheden road in Bheden block of Bargarh district in Odisha.
The deceased persons have been identified as 5-year-old Pratiksha and her mother Saptanjali Barik while the injured person is Mandhata Barik. All of them belong to Bendra village under Loisingha police limits of Balangir district.
As per reports, the three were travelling on a bike when their vehicle collided with a tractor on the Burda-Bheden road. They were on there way to Amlipali of Bheden block.
After getting information Bheden Police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to the Bargarh District Head Quarter Hospital for autopsy.
It has been learnt that Mandhata Barik works in the Hirakud dam. A case has been lodged in this connection and further investigation of the case is underway.
