5 People Arrested In Odisha’s Kandhamal For Violating Lock down and Offering Prayers at Church

Kandhamal: 5 persons were arrested in Kandhamal district of Odisha for offering Easter prayers in Church  during Lockdown.

The 5 persons including a pastor were offering prayers in a Church located in Tumudibandha block of Kandhamal district when they were arrested by the police, yesterday.

The arrested persons are Prasanta Majhi, Habal Mallick, Narayan Majhi, Santosh Majhi and Philiman Majhi.

Such an incident has come forward at a time when, the state and central government had requested people not to gather at churches on Easter due to risk of coronavirus infection.
