5 from KISS in India U-18 girls rugby team for Paris World Games; Sumitra to lead Bhubaneswar: The city based Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has added yet another feather to its cap with five of its students being included in the Indian Under 18 Girls Rugby Team to participate in the Paris World Games-2017 commencing on July 7.

The five girl students are Sumitra Nayak, Rajani Sabar, Basanti Pangi, Liza Sardar and Soni Motangi.

Except Motangi, the other four girls had played for India in the Asian U-18 Rugby Sevens held in UAE and had bagged a bronze.

Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KISS and KIIT, congratulated the girls on being selected to represent the country in the world event and wished them  the very best.

Apart from rugby, the World Games will see competitions in volleyball, football, badminton, basketball and handball.
