47 Cobras Rescued From Bhadrak Village

Bhadrak: Panic gripped Hatisahi village under Bhadrak Rural police limits after 45 cobra hatchlings were rescued from a house this evening. Snake Helpline member S.K Mirza also rescued two female cobras from the house of Suresh Rout.

Rout informed the Snake Helpline after he spotted a baby cobra in his bedroom. After the news of emergence of snakes from a house spread, hundreds of local resident rushed to witness the incident.

Earlier in June last year Wildlife department had rescued 131 cobras from a thatched house at Paikasahi village in the district. Forest department officials said that the rescued snakes will be released into natural habitat in a couple of days.
