400 litres illegal liquor seized from pickup van, driver detained

Soro: Tightening the noose around the necks of bootleggers in Balasore district, Simulia Police last night seized country liquor weighing 400 litres from NH-16 near a petrol pump last night.

As per the report, a patrolling team of Simulia Police intercepted a suspiciously moving pickup van for search near Simulia India Oil filling station during night patrolling and recovered the illegal liquor from it.

The driver of the pickup van has been detained for questioning and further investigation is underway into the incident to examine the chance of involvement of racket, said police.
