Jajpur : About 40 people fell ill and were hospitalized after consuming food in a marriage ceremony at Bahabalpur village under Dashrathpur block in Jajpur district.
Sources said, the villagers had gone to attend a marriage. However, after eating the food, many complained of vomiting, stomach pain and nausea.
They were immediately rescued and rushed to District Headquarters Hospital(DHH) in Jajpur.
The ill persons were provided with saline and necessary treatment.
Meanwhile, a health team reached the village and collected the food samples for testing. It is a suspected case of food poisoning.
Ms Kalinga
