Angul: A four-year-old girl fell into a nearly 200-feet-borewell at Gulasar village under Handapa police limits of the district at around 9.30 AM on Monday.
The girl child has been identified as Radha Sahu, daughter of Santosh Sahu of the village.
“The kid is alive. We could hear her voice,” said a villager.
Getting the information, local police and firemen rushed to the spot and began operations to rescue the girl.
Meanwhile, the district administration has sought assistance from Odisha Disaster Radip Action Force (ODRAF) to rescue the girl child as the local firemen lack adequate equipment.
