Nayagarh: Tension ran high in Jajangi Sahi in Nayagarh town today morning after dead body of a minor boy was recovered from an abandoned well under suspicious circumstances and his family members alleged it to be a case of murder.
The deceased has been identified as Ashutosh Swain (4), a resident of Nua Rajabati Sahi in the city.
Body of Ashutosh was first spotted by some locals inside the well today morning and they immediately informed his family members and police.
Bolangir Town Police recovered the body from the well reaching the spot later in the morning.
However, the deceased minor’s family members suspected that he has been murdered. They have claimed that the body was not there when they searched for the boy soon after he had gone missing some three days ago.
Ashutosh had gone missing while playing in front of his home on Wednesday. His family members had lodged a case at the Town Police Station in connection with the case after conducting a frantic search for him.
Meanwhile, the Town police have started its investigation in the case.
