Puri: Cracking the dreaded criminal Sanjay Behera (27) alias Para murder case which took place near Gundicha temple here last month, police today arrested rest four accused including a woman.
The held persons have been identified as Bhagirathi Pradhan, Pramod Bhola, Ranjan Samal and Arpita Patnaik.
Informing on the arrests Puri City DSP Prashant Patnaik said, the four were arrested after Kumbharapada Police acted upon the information found from the prime accused Denga Muna during his interrogation. Muna had surrendered at Nimapara Court earlier, he added.
The woman held today was found guilty of concealing the evidence as well as active participation in the crime during the investigation.
Police have seized two country made pistols, one 7.65 mma and one single shot, from the possession of the held accused.
The arrested accused have been forwarded to court, informed police.
Earlier police had arrested Tapas Samantray alias Anil, Babuni Parida alias Kuna along with Jeetendra Sahu alias Jeetu and taken them on remand. With today’s arrests the total number of people caught in the case rose to eight.
