4 injured as wheels fall off the ambulance in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: As many as four people have sustained injuries in a road accident that took place on Papadahandi-Kosagumuda road near Tandaguda in Nabarangpur district late on Monday night.

Reportedly, a 108 ambulance was carrying a patient along with three others when the wheels fell off the vehicle on Papadahandi-Kosagumuda road.

The left wheel of the vehicle fell off while the patient was being carried from Khutubai to Papadahandi Hospital.

As a result, the ambulance hit a cement pillar and turned the turtle on the road. The staff and patient, who were sitting inside the ambulance, were admitted to Papadahandi Community Health Center (CHC) and later were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) in Nabarangpur.

On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation.
