Berhampur: In a shocking morning mishap, at least four persons sustained injuries after two passenger buses collided head on near Surala junction under Golanthara police limits in Ganjam district today.
As per the report, a bus namely Khambeswari bearing registration number- OD 07 B 8191 was en-route to Bhubaneswar carrying passengers from Malkangiri when the collision took place. Driver of the bus lost control over the wheels after failing to spot another bus namely Litu and Litu which was returning with pilgrims from Ghatagaon area of Keonjar to Chikiti from the front, due to dense fog.
The impact of the collision was so serious that both the vehicles got completely damaged from the front and veered off the road.
At least four passengers from both the buses sustained injuries in the accident and were rushed to MKCG Medical in Berhampur by Golanthara Police later in the day.
Police have also seized both the mangled vehicles and started an investigation.
