4 Forest Officials Attacked By Hunters In Odisha

Mayurbhanj: The forest officials were attacked by a group of more than 50 hunters and sustained serious injuries in Jamudiha village under Udala Range in Mayurbhanj district late last night.

Sources said, the forest official team along with Udala ranger had gone to the Jamudiha village after they were informed about the hunting of two Sambar Deers. They reached the village and recovered the Sambar Deer meat and two pistols.

While they were returning back from the village, the miscreants started pelting stones at the forest officials and also vandalised their vehicle. Following which they sustained critical injuries.

The forest officials have been admitted to a hospital for medical treatment.
