Sundergarh: At least four persons sustained critical injuries after a Tata Magic hit a dumper on National Highway-143 head-on last night.
The identities of the injured passengers are yet to be ascertained.
As per the report, the driver of the Tata Magic which was en-route to its destination from Bonai area late in the night carrying a group of passengers lost control over the wheels and ended up hitting a dumper which was coming from the opposite direction.
All four passengers who sustained critical injuries in the crash were sent to Bonai Sub-Divisional hospital and then shifted to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) due to critical conditions.
Police have seized the mangled Tata Magic and launched a manhunt to trace the absconding dumper driver.
