37 minor among 247 test Covid positive in Odisha, 2 deaths

Bhubaneswar: A total of 247 Covid-19 positive cases including 37 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,45,209 informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Saturday.

Among the 247 positives, 144 are quarantine cases and 103 are local contacts. However, 339 patients recovered in the State taking the total number of 10,33,991. Hence the active cases stand at 2790.

Besides the State Pool has 26 new Covid positive cases.

Meanwhile, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of two COVID infected patients, taking the death toll to 8,375 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 67 years old Male of Ganjam District who was also suffering from Hypertension, Vasculitis with Parkinsonism.

2. A 15 years old Female of Koraput District who was also suffering from Sickle Cell Disease, Chronic Kidney Disease.
