Bhubaneswar: Tightening the noose around the necks of illegal dance bar runners in the city, the Commissionerate Police raided and sealed at least three more bars in the city yesterday for flouting prescribed norms.
At least seven girls were rescued from the raided bars were operating near Cuttack Road and Bapuji Nagar areas, said police.
The special squad of Twin City Commissionerate Police swung into action in the evening and conducted simultaneous raids at two bars located near Cuttack Road another at Bapuji Nagar. During the verification of the documents, the bars were found to be operating without even a license.
Notably, on Friday night police had raided a dance bar located in Kharavel Nagar area in similar fashion and rescued 10 girls from there to send to a short-stay home. The bar was found running without a music license.
